About Me: Here is a summary of my recent journey and experience.
· I’ve taken many job related HR courses and most of them do require some form of “Listening” and “coaching” skills. · I’ve gone through marriage counseling and even though I went kicking and screaming into it, I now have a great deal of respect for the profession and the skills required to truly help break through the many issues in our lives. She primarily focused on the Imago theory. · Studied a book called “ Getting the love you want” working the “Imago” concept from Harville Hendrix, PhD (Great for knowing about your childhood stuff) · I’ve also connected with a Life Coach of my own and I’m in the process of reviewing coaching schools for a possible future career.

Founder of "Guysneeedhelptoo". A community website that will hopefully provide an avenue for men to talk to other men about their problems. Still not officially launched and looking for the right group of men to kick it off.
I want it to be a tool, not a place to talk sports.
I only have a couple of friends on it for testing purposes, and I’m still modifying it.

o I was raised by a single mom and am the oldest of 3 (2 other girls) o I am a father and a step father o I struggled to be a success but I did ok. I know enough to know how difficult it will be for many of these boys when they grow up, try to have a career, try to develop a relationship and become fathers themselves. o I’ve spent the last year dedicated to researching my own issues and feel almost a responsibility to share my own findings to those that are not as fortunate to have taken the time or had the resources. o This started because my wife and I could just not communicate. Even with all the good intentions, we were not conscious enough about the dynamics of our past to help each other. o It turned into a journey that led to clearer understanding of my blueprint and the complexity of this new world

Hobbies: Golf, Drawing, Painting

Virtues: I find that the questions continue at all ages, but we don't know how or who to ask.
I refuse to allow other men to go without knowing that they are NOT ALONE.

Heroes: Mother - She always took care of her kids.
Wife - She helped me with my soul and gave me peace of mind.
Daughter - She showed me what unconditional love is all about.

42 years old and going back to school

I'm 42 years old and after a ton of soul searching, I finally realized that what I'm really passionate about is to understand the human condition. Psychology.

So I decided to go back to school and start all over again at the age of 42. I'm still working of course, but I'm going back to get my psychology degree.

I find it interesting that we somehow expect our kids to know what they want to do in their careers right out of high school when I'm just now understanding what I am passionate about.

Anybody else reaching this point in their life?

Is this the mid life crisis?

Or am I finally on the right path?
